<p>A new and unique Facebook game with a social mission: fighting climate change through offline actions. Featuring a coastal setting, gamers must build and save their habitat by completing offline energy-efficient and environmentally friendly actions that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, such as changing incandescent bulbs to ENERGY STAR qualified bulbs; powering down computers; recycling plastic bags, bottles, or aluminum cans; walking, biking, or taking public transportation for week; and more! Each action gives users a snapshot of their individual carbon savings as well as the collective savings impact if we all join together to fight climate change.</p>

<p>e-mission was developed with Flash Action Script 3 frontend and a PHP-MySQL backend,  using Facebook Graph API. My rol in the project was the definition of the frontend architecture, the programming of such layer and the integration of the game in conjunction with an amazing team of developers, designers, animators, game designers and team managers.</p>

<p>Scrum methodology was used to manage the incremental development of the game, with iterations of two weeks. It was a enriching experience.</p>

<p>Lost in Spice is an XBox 360 platform game which transports you to four islands filled with danger and adventure. This project was oriented to transform 150 cience and physics lab experiences to online games, all of them with Museito (the main character of Museo de los Niños) and his gang.</p>
<p>This was a challenge project because the development include lab experiences analysis, game design, programming and test of 150 games in a short period of 6 months.</p>
<p>The games  were developed in Flash Action Script 2, some of them using physics engines or 3d engines and the format was casual gaming. The methodology used was Xtreme Programming.</p>

<p>Faber-Castell Games was a project oriented to develop a flash games portal starred by the Faber gang. The Faber-Castell design team define the initial sketches of the characters, while my work was define the architecture of the portal, the gameplay of the games, the animations, main scenes, enemies and programming.</p>

<p>Across the games our heroes should escape the horrible traps plotted by the Evil Lord of Evil: The Dark Kelko. All games are themed with the products of the Faber-Castell family, from the enemies shapes to the hole environments.</p>
<p>The technologies used in this project were Flash Action Script 2, Flash Remmiting and Coldfusion, and a basic reward system was created to give monthly real prizes to the gamers.</p>

<p>My work was design the frontend (and program a part of it) and the user interaction using CSS, HTML and Fireworks. Also, I designed and animate the tutorial for the tool using Flash Professional.</p>
<p>The second part of the project was use the real time search engine based in a non-relational database (MongoDB) to recommend videos based on twitter followings and followers.</p>

<p>Desde el Stadium is a standalone baseball trivia game, based in statistics of regional (Venezuela) and world series baseball. </p>
<p>I programmed the entire game using Flash Action Script 3. For this project I made a xml parser to take the questions and answers dynamically, and to change the music playlist too.</p>
<p>The fun fact is that I have never passed the first inning, I don´t know anything about baseball.</p>

<p>An Ancient Japanese legend tells that many centuries ago cat gods travel across our lands. There were peaceful times, but short after from the shadows the war rose, a chaos out of proportion. Our world began the transformation, it was covered by darkness.</p>
<p>No one, god or mortal, discovered the hidden mystery. Kami is the last hope. Only by finding the mystic mask, she could reveal the secrets of the dark forces, the secret will be revealed, but it has a price, Kami will be fragmented in her four alter egos: BlackKami that commands the wind at her will, GreenKami protected by leaves, PurpleKami that knows the secrets of the magic and OrangeKami the fire craftswoman.</p>

<p>The four Kamis will be dragged to Catland, a lost world between magic and the absurd, rule by Astalavista Pussy, creator of our worlds chaos. Only by defeating Astalavista Pussy the balance will be restored. It wont be an easy task to reach him, but before Kami must defeat his henchmen.</p>

You could synchronize your <a href="http://www.flikr.com/" target="_blank">flickr</a>, <a href="http://www.picasa.com/" target="_blank">picasa</a>, <a href="http://www.youtube.com/" target="_blank">youtube</a>, <a href="http://www.last.fm/" target="_blank">lastfm</a> acounts in background and get all your multimedia everywhere: iphone, android, social networks (<a href="http://www.facebook.com/" target="_blank">facebook</a>, <a href="http://www.hi5.com/" target="_blank">hi5</a>, <a href="http://www.bebo.com/" target="_blank">bebo</a>, etc), ubuket webpage. Although, you had the possibility to share your media with your friends too. </p>

<p>Hour Glass is a platform game developed in JavaFX for JavaFX Coding Challenge 2008. Unfortunately the framework was very limited compared with Flash and the game too ambitious for the performance.</p>
<p>I designed the characters, animations, scenes and the main plot of the story.</p>
<p>Our heroin, Gaia, will try to save the earth from the consequences of the industrialization, fighting evil monsters and collecting the elemental soul spheres to restore the order of the universe.</p>
